Afro Samurai

I get rather disappointed with pretty much everything from Shonen Jump sometime during their second seasons.

Death Note should have finished with the L's dead ending, season 2 sucked in comparison.

anyway, I'm a fan of:

Hellsing
Outlaw Star
Monster Hunter Orage
Gantz - though lately its been getting rather 'meh'
and Mysterious Girlfriend X - because even I have to have something to balance out the heavy gore and action of the other things I like.

Afro Samurai is pretty bad ass, other than that most of the animes out there I despise
I have the 4-DVD set of Hellsing here in my room, its not a bad anime, though the only Alucard I think really deserves that name is the first Alucard from Castlevania - though the real legend of Alucard goes way back to Dracula himself

And Hellsing Alucard is Dracula, but part of their manipulation process was the name thing, you'd think they'd take something entirely different so he wouldnt figure out who he was.

You'd think so, but I guess thats not how it works in legends

There is a new Hellsing series? is it still called Hellsing or is it some new name, because from what you have told me so far it sounds interesting

It's called Hellsing: The Dawn, though it hasn't progressed too far yet, only six chapters released that I'm aware of.

I think he started this before finishing up the original series, and these first six chapters are sort of like a pilot for it.
