*** Verison 0.4, unfinished or missing infromation, some skills may be altered or different from 2g and Freedom 2 ***
*** List is entry 100% complete, Armor infromation still needs to be added, Gem infromation still needs to be added ***
*** Last Entry: --***

This guide is incomplete.

~ How to read this List ~

* "Name of Skill as it appears in skill tree"

Skill names: Name of skills as they appear on the status page, and the number of points needed for that skill

Effect: What each skill does

Blademaster Armors: Tells what blademaster armor sets give the skill without gems, and how far it can be improved with gems, also tells
what materials require to make each armor set (eventually)

[Level of skill, Max Level of skill with gems] Armor name (armor types that give the skill)

Gunner Armor: Tells what gunner armor sets give the skill without gems, and how far it can be improved with gems, also tells
what materials require to make each armor set (eventually)

Gems: Tells the name of the gems that give points to the skill, and what you need to make it

Notes: Other infromation hunters may want to know about the skill

* "Attack"

Skill names: Attack Up (Small) : 10 points
Attack Up (Medium): 15 points
Attack Up (Large): 20 points

Effect: Increases your overall attack power, each weapon has a different damage value mutliplier
that effects how much more power you get from attack boosts. For this skill, a small gives x3,
a medium gives x5 and a large gives x10

Greatsword: x4.8

Sword n' Shield: x1.4

Hammer/Hunting Horn: x5.2

Lance/Gunlance: x2.3

Light/Heavy Bowgun: x1.2

Bow: x1.2

Here is an example of how this all works,
You are using a Greatsword with Attack Up (Large) active. The math is 4.8 x 10 = +48 Attack
The 4.8 is the weapon's multiplier, and the x10 is the active skill's effect, so in the end
you would have 48 more attack power using a Greatsword with this skill

Blademaster Armors: [Med, Gem: Large] Monoblos (Standard/S), [Med, Gem: Large] Rathalos (Standard/S)

Gunner Armors: [Med, Gem: Large] Monoblos (Standard/S), [Med, Gem: Large] Rathalos (Standard/S)

Gems: *Attack Jewel (+1 to Attack, -1 defense), 1 slot
Kut Ku Scale x1
Something x1
Something x3

*Fierce Jewel (+3 to Attack, -1 defense), 2 slots
Fire Wyvern Claw x1
Demondrug x1
Something x1

Notes: Skill great for both blademasters and gunners, increasing your attack power is ALWAYS
effective and useful no matter what you are hunting - can stack with Felyne Effects and Items
Explosive Ammo (Clust and Crag S) don't increase damage - see Bomb Strength Up
(The raw damage caused by the entry of the round does increase however)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Defense"

Skill names: Defense +40: 20 points
Defense +20: 15 points
Defense +10: 10 points
Defense -20: -10 points
Defense -30: -15 points

Effect: Raises or lowers your raw defense aside from the armor's natural defense

Blademaster Armors: [+20, Gem: +30] Hermituar (Standard), [-20, Gem: Negate] White Fatalis

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill isn't as all useful as it may seem, only a few armors give it and usually
you are better off with another skill if you could choose. It is good for beginners however
who could use that extra boost of defense - if you have a negative in defense it would be a good
idea to add gems to remove the penalty to defense if you can

---------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Health"

Skill names: Health +30: 20 points
Health +20: 15 points
Health +10: 10 points
Health -10: -10 points
Health -20: -15 points

Effect: Raises or lowers your max HP, the highest you can have is 150hp

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Health increases are always a good idea if the armor gives it to you, stacking with Felyne
Kitchen effects you could easily pull off 150hp for every hunt. If you have +10 health, for exmaple,
and 5 cooks in your kitchen, eating Meat + Veggie gives Attack Up (Large) and +40 Health; with that
+10 health you get from your armor that equals a full health bar, no point in having health bonus
over 150hp since it won't go that high

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Hunger"

Skill names: Hunger Negate: 15 points
Hunger Halved: 10 points
HungerInc[Lo]: -10 points
HungerInc[Hi]: -15 points

Effect: 'Hunger Negate' will make it so your stamina will never decrease due to hunger
'Hunger Halved' the time it takes for the stamina bar to decrease is halved
'Hunger Inc [Lo]' makes the stamina bar decrease x1.5 faster
'Hunger Inc [Hi]' makes the stamina bar decrease x2 faster

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Normally it takes 6 minuites for the stamina bar to decrease 25 points,
This skill doesn't have much use being the ease it is to get and cook
meats, but for begining players it can save them the hassle of finding time to eat during combat
or saving them on meats.

Rations recover 25 points of stamina
Rare Steaks recover 25 points of stamina
Energy Drinks recover 25 points of stamina
Well-Done Steaks recover 50 points of stamina
Mega/Power Juice recover 50 points of stamina
Gourmet Steaks recover 75 points of stamina
Ancient Potions recover 150 points of stamina

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Heat Resistance"

Skill Names: Heat Cancel [Hi]: 20 points
Heat Cancel [Lo]: 15 points
Heat Rd by Half: 10 points
Heat Inc [Lo]: -10 points

Effect: 'Heat Cancel [Hi]' negates extream heat as if you had a Cool Drink always on
'Heat Cancel [Lo]' negates extream heat, but only in open desert areas (Kotoko Desert: - Pokke Desert: 2,5)
'Heat Rd by Half' makes your health drop x0.5 slower in extream heat
'Heat Inc [Lo]' makes your health drop x1.5 faster in extream heat

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill isn't as useful since it's not that hard to simply bring Cool Drinks or any other item
that provides the same effect, nor is it that dangerous to have Heat Inc assuming you have enough cool drinks for the quest
Some mistaken this skill to work on Lunastra/Teostra Fire Aura, which is does not - see Terrian Resistance

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Cold Resistance"

Skill Names: Cold Elim [Hi]: 20 points
Cold Elim [Lo]: 15 points
Cold Rd by Half: 10 points
Cold Inc [Lo]: -10 points

Effect: 'Cold Cancel [Hi]' grants immunity to the cold as if you had a Hot Drink active on
'Heat Cancel [Lo]' grants immunity to the cold, but only at night in the open deserts, all areas of Snow Mountian,
and caves in Swamp
'Heat Rd by Half' makes your stamina bar drop x0.5 slower due to cold
'Heat Inc [Lo]' makes your stamina bar drop x1.5 faster due to cold

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill isn't as useful since it's not that hard to simply bring Hot Drinks or any other item
that provides the same effect, nor is it that bad to have Cold Inc assuming you have enough hot drinks for the quest

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Artisan" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Name: Sharpness +1: 10 points

Effect: 'Sharpness +1' adds more sharpness to the weapon you are wielding, depending on how much sharpness there was to being with
depends on how much it will increase. In some cases a weapon with green sharpness will advance to blue, while in other
cases a weapon with green sharpness will just get more green; depending on how far up the sharpness meter is to the end
If the sharpness meter is already filled up, Sharpness +1 does not give it any extra effect...

Blademaster Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill is very useful overall, having you to sharpen less often and can give your weapon a further level in sharpness,
increasing damage. It becomes exceptionally useful for Duals Swords where their sharpness can lower rapidly and Greatswords where
the guard can lower sharpness as well

Sharpness Multipliers:

White- x1.30
Blue- x1.25
Green- x1.125
Yellow- x1.0 (Cannot perform Critical Hits lower than 'Green', weapons with status-effects will not function)
Orange- x0.75
Red- x0.50

Elemental Sharpness Multipliers:

White- x1.125
Blue- x1.0625
Green- x1.0 (Cannot perform Critical Hits lower than 'Green', weapons with status-effects will not function)
Yellow- x0.75
Orange- x0.50
Red- x0.25

Sharpness can also increase or decrease your affinity - see 'Expert' for more detail

10% Affinity: (Blue: 15%, White: 20%)
20% Affinity: (Blue 25%, White: 30%)
30% Affinity: (Blue 35%, White: 40%)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Sharp Sword" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Names: Sharp Sword: 10 points
Blunt Edge: -10 points

Effect: 'Sharp Sword' decreases how much sharpness your weapon loses, making your sharpness last longer
'Blunt Edge' increases how much sharpness your weapon loses, making your sharpness dull faster

Blademaster Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill is helpful since it will make your weapon last longer without needing to sharpen, over time this means
you will be doing slightly more damage since your sharpness will remain steady longer every strike.
If you have 'Blunt Edge' it can really be annoying and is a pain to have, you best remove it if you can

Sharpness Multipliers:

White- x1.30
Blue- x1.25
Green- x1.125
Yellow- x1.0 (Cannot perform Critical Hits lower than 'Green', weapons with status-effects will not function)
Orange- x0.75
Red- x0.50

Elemental Sharpness Multipliers:

White- x1.125
Blue- x1.0625
Green- x1.0 (Cannot perform Critical Hits lower than 'Green', weapons with status-effects will not function)
Yellow- x0.75
Orange- x0.50
Red- x0.25

Sharpness can also increase or decrease your affinity - see 'Expert' for more detail

10% Affinity: (Blue: 15%, White: 20%)
20% Affinity: (Blue 25%, White: 30%)
30% Affinity: (Blue 35%, White: 40%)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Fencing" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Name: ESP: 10 points

Effect: 'ESP' makes it so attacks cannot be deflected by hard or strong areas of a monster,
you will still do the same amount of damage as a deflected hit however and sharpness will still decrease normally

Blademaster: -

Gems: -

Notes: ESP is especially useful when fighting Gravios and Basarious, your attack will not bounce off anything no matter
how hard the monster is; this will over time increase damage since you can lay down more attacks in a peroid of time and
you can dodge faster since there is a moment after having your attack deflect where you can't move

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Sword Sharpener" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Names: Sharpening Skl Inc: 10 points
Sharp Skl Halved: -10 points

Effect: 'Sharpening Skl Inc' allows you to sharpen your weapon in one swipe of the whetstone instead of the normal 4 swipes
'Sharp Skl Halved' makes it so your weapon only restores x0.5 sharpness when you use a whetstone

Blademaster Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill can be very useful if you plan on sharpening often, this skill will allow you to sharpen in combat
without leaving yourself open for very long, having Sharp Skl Halved will not only increase the number of times
you have to use a whetstone, but also that means leaving yourself open more

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Guard" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Names: Guard +2: 15 points
Guard +1: 10 points
Guard -1: -10 points

Effect: 'Guard +2' greatly lessens the stamina used, damage taken, as well as how far you get pushed back while guarding an attack
'Guard +1' lessens the stamina used, damage taken, as well as how far you get pushed back while guarding an attack
'Guard -1' increases the stamina used, damage taken, as well as how far you get pushed back while guarding an attack

Blademaster Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill becomes very useful if you are the type who finds him/her self guarding often, this skill would
of course be pointless to have if you are using any weapon without a guard function. With this skill you will lose
less stamina when guarding - meaning you can guard longer and against more attacks without needing to leave yourself open
You will also lose less health when you take partial damage from a blocked attack - meaning less healing and better chance
of survival, and you won't get pushed back as far - allowing you react and move right after a guard

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Auto-Guard" (Blademaster Only)

Skill Name: Auto-Guard: 10 points

Effect: 'Auto-Guard' will automatically guard against an attack the very second before it hits you- assuming you have
enough stamina and are capable of making an guard (not rolling, facing attack, not healing or sharpening, etc.)

Blademaster Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill isn't all that useful; since all you have to do is hold down the R button to guard
and it doesn't increase the strength of the guard nither - in some case you may not want to guard
an attack and dodge instead, but this skill would force you to guard anyway

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "NormS Up" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: NormS/RapidBow Up: 10 points

Effect: Increases the damage of standard bowgun rounds (NormS) and Rapid Bow fire by x1.1

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: If you use Normal Shots often this skill is good to have, but the lack of power Normal Shots have
in the first place doesn't make it all that big of a boost; same with Rapid bow fire

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "PierceS Up" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: PrceS/PrceBow Up: 10 points

Effect: Increases the damage of pierce-bowgun rounds (PierceS) and Pierce Bow fire by x1.1

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Pirece shots are one of the most effective rounds you can use, they rack up damage quickly, much
more than standard rounds, increasing pirece damage is always a good idea; pierce bow fire applys the same way
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "PelletS Up" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: PellS/ScattBow Up: 10 points

Effect: Increases the damage of pellet-bowgun rounds (PelletS) and Scatter Bow fire by x1.1

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Pellet shots are most effective when at close range, it works the same way as a shotgun
since the rounds spread more the farther you are away from your target; Scatter Bow fire
divides it's damage to each arrow you fire, so it's only effective against large monsters
where all the arrows can hit it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "NormS Add" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: NormS All LV Add: 15 points
NormS LV1 Add: 10 points

Effect: 'NormS All LV Add' allows the bowgun you are using to fire all types of NormS rounds
'NormS LV1 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire NormS Level 1 rounds

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: If you wish to add more Normal Shot ability to your bowgun then skill is good for you,
though you would be better off using more powerful ammo if you could, the number of NormS you can use
varies depending on the bowgun (unsure how to measure it yet)

This skill does not affect Bows.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "PierceS Add" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: PierceS All LV Ad: 20 points
PierceS LV2 Add: 15 points
PierceS LV1 Add: 10 points

Effect: 'PierceS All LV Ad' allows the bowgun you are using to fire all types of PierceS rounds
'PierceS LV2 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire PierceS Level 2 and 1 rounds
'PierceS LV1 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire PierceS Level 1 rounds

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Pierce Shots are effective ammo for any hunt, and do good against monster with thick hides and shells
the number of PierceS you can use varies depending on the bowgun (unsure how to measure it yet)

This skill does not affect Bows.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "PelletS Add" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: PelletS All LV Ad: 20 points
PelletS LV2 Add: 15 points
PelletS LV1 Add: 10 points

Effect: 'PelletS All LV Ad' allows the bowgun you are using to fire all types of PierceS rounds
'PelletS LV2 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire PierceS Level 2 and 1 rounds
'PelletS LV1 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire PierceS Level 1 rounds

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Pellet Shots are great if you are guning at close range
the number of PelletS you can use varies depending on the bowgun (unsure how to measure it yet)

This skill does not affect Bows.

* "CragS Add" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: CragS All LV Ad: 20 points
CragS LV2 Add: 15 points
CragS LV1 Add: 10 points

Effect: 'PelletS All LV Ad' allows the bowgun you are using to fire all types of CragS rounds
'PelletS LV2 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire CragS Level 2 and 1 rounds
'PelletS LV1 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire CragS Level 1 rounds

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Crag Shots deal explosive damage simular to Barrel Bombs
the number of CragS you can use varies depending on the bowgun (unsure how to measure it yet)
Your overall attack power does not affect the explosive damage of CragS, see Bomb Strength Up

This skill does not affect Bows.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Clust Add" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: Clust All LV Ad: 20 points
Clust LV2 Add: 15 points
Clust LV1 Add: 10 points

Effect: 'ClustS All LV Ad' allows the bowgun you are using to fire all types of ClustS rounds
'ClustS LV2 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire ClustS Level 2 and 1 rounds
'ClustS LV1 Add' gives the bowgun the ability to fire ClustS Level 1 rounds

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Clust Shots deal great explosive damage simular to Barrel Bombs
the number of ClustS you can use varies depending on the bowgun (unsure how to measure it yet)
Your overall attack power does not affect the explosive damage of CragS, see Bomb Strength Up

This skill does not affect Bows.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Speed Fire" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: Speed Fire: 10 points

Effect: 'Speed Fire' allows you to fire without needed to reload, the only exception
is you have to reload when changing ammo types
For bows, it increases the charge-speed

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Very handy skill for laying down more rounds without needing to stop or reload, overall
racking up more damage in a shorter time, for bows you can charge your shots faster which
will result in the same outcome
This skill increases bowgun recoil, however and does not affect a bowgun's rapid-fire ability
in reloading

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Reload" (Gunner Only)

Skill Names: Reload Speed +2: 15 points
Reload Speed +1: 10 points
Reload Speed -1: -10 points
Reload Speed -2: -15 points

Effect: 'Reload Speed +2' increases reload speed of bowguns and the speed to load coatings to bows by two levels
'Reload Speed +1' increases reload speed of bowguns and the speed to load coatings to bows by one level
'Reload Speed -1' decreases reload speed of bowguns and the speed to load coating to bows by one level
'Reload Speed -2' decreases reload speed of bowguns and the speed to load coating to bows by two level

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: By reloading faster, you leave yourself less open and vunerable to attacks during combat
This also means you can change ammo types faster, switching for example from Pierce Shots to Paralyze
Having a penalty in this skill can be deadly trying to find time during combat to reload

This skill does not affect Bows.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Recoil" (Gunner Only)

skill Names: Recoil Reduct +2: 15 points
Recoil Reduct +1: 10 points
Recoil Inc -1: -10 points
Recoil Inc -2: -15 points

Effect: 'Recoil Reduct +2' removes all recoil from bowguns
'Recoil Reduct +1' reduces recoil from bowguns by one level
'Recoil Inc -1' increases recoil from bowguns by one level
'Recoil Inc -2' increases recoil from bowguns by two levels

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Reducing your recoil will reduce the time you have to take to steady yourself again so you can
dodge or otherwise move; having a penalty in this skill can be deadly in certain hunts where getting
hit once will practially knock you unconcious, especially since the raw defense of Gunner armors
generally are much lower than Blademaster armors

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Loading" (Gunner Only)

Skill Name: Load Up: 10 points

Effect: 'Load Up' adds another slot of ammo that can be loaded into the bowgun for each type of ammo
Also gives an extra charge to bows

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Having an extra round loaded into you bowgun's chamber will allow you fire more rounds
and reload less often; for bows you get an extra charge which varies on the bow

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Precision" (Gunner Only)

Skill Names: Target Range Down: 10 points
Target Range Up: -10 points

Effect: 'Target Range Down' makes your shots stay centered longer, for better accuracy
'Target Range Up' makes your shots drift off center quicker, for less accuracy

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Poison, Paralyze, and other stat changing ammo work faster when you hit weaker parts of a monster
if your shots are more centered then you can aim your shots to that location more easily
If you have a penalty with this skill, it makes mid to long range shooting difficult

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Expert"

Skill Names: Reckless Aband+3: 20 points
Reckless Aband+2: 15 points
Reckless Aband+1: 10 points

Effect: 'Reckless Aband+3' increases your weapon's affinity rate by 30%
'Reckless Aband+2' increases your weapon's affinity rate by 20%
'Reckless Aband+1' increases your weapon's affinity rate by 10%

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Your affinity is your critical hit rate, a critical hit increases your damage by x1.25; a critical hit
is visiable when there is a bright red slash on the target you struck. Some weapons have negative affinity rate
which will result in a damage penalty of x0.75, a purple slash marks the damage penalty when you strike your target

Sharpness can also affect your affinity rate, for one you need atleast green sharpness to perform critical hits
Blue and White sharpness can increase your affinity as well

10% Affinity: (Blue: 15%, White: 20%)
20% Affinity: (Blue 25%, White: 30%)
30% Affinity: (Blue 35%, White: 40%)
...and so on

Damage will add up over time with a higher affinity rate for both blades and guns/bows

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Special Attack"

Skill Name: Spc Atk Up: 10 points

Effect: 'Spc Atk Up' increases the effect of weapon or ammo with poison, paralyze or sleep by x1.125

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Useful if you want to support your hunting group by stuning or poisoning the monster, this skill will
make the poison and stun last longer - this will also make sleep weapons and ammo work faster

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Elemental Attack"

Skill Name: Elem Atk Up: 10 points

Effect: 'Elem Atk Up' increases your weapon's elemental damage (fire,water,thunder,ice,dragon) by x1.1
Elemental bowgun ammo is also increased by x1.1

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: If you are using a weapon where the elemental attack power is greater than it's raw damage than this skill
would be most effective in dealing more elemental damage; elemental bowgun ammo is also increased
Keep in mind that poison, paralyze, sleep, and other status elements are NOT increased - see 'Special Attack'

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Guard Up"

Skill Name: Guard Inc: 10 points

Effect: 'Guard Inc' allows you to guard against attacks that would normally be un-guardable
(Gravios Beam, Plesioth Beam, Gas attacks, Fatalis's fireballs, etc.)

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: A very useful skill if you are the type to guard often, added with Guard +1 or +2 it makes a very
good mix of skills that can make your guard an unbreakable fortress

------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Earplug"

Skill Names: HighGradeEarplug: 15 points
Earplug: 10 points

Effect: 'HighGrade Earplug' grants immunity to all monster's roars and screams
'Earplug' grants immunity to some monster's roars and screams

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: This skill can save your life more than once, when a monster roars and you are too close your hunter
will cover his/her ears and you won't be able to move for a short period of time - but sometimes it's just enough
for the monster to get a free hit on you. Some monster's roars are so loud they require a more powerful Earplug skill
to withstand...

Monsters that require High-Grade Earplug: Basarios, Gravios, Khezu, Diablos, Monoblos, Tigrex, Lao-Shan Lung,
Fatalis, Akantor

For any other monster not listed, you only need Earplug to become immune to their roars and screams

You can also use the 'dive' dodge to avoid their screams, except for Diablos and Monoblos where their screams last too long
so by the time you get back up, you are caught in it anyway

You can also guard a roar to prevent it's effects

----------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Wind Press"

Skill Names: Drg Wind Breaker: 20 points
High Wind Press: 15 points
Low Wind Press: 10 points

Effect: 'Drg Wind Breaker' makes you immune to the wind press of all monsters
'High Wind Press' makes you immune to the wind press of most monsters
'Low Wind Press' makes you immune to the wind press of some monsters

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: "Wind Press" is when a monster flaps it's wings and you are caught in the wind that picks up from it, your hunter will
cover his or her face for a few moments or in extream cases fall flat down; other things can cause wind press such as being too
close to a fireball explosion - this skill can be very useful to have since some wind press are strong enough to keep you defenseless
long enough for the monster to get a good hit on you, monsters like the Kushala Daora who have wind around them constantly

Monsters that require 'Drg Wind Breaker': Kushala Daora, Lunastra, Teostra, Chameleos

Monsters that require 'High Wind Press' or higher: Rathalos, Rathian, Monoblos, Diablos, Tigrex, Lao-Shan Lung, Fatalis

All other monsters not listed here only require 'Low Wind Press'

----------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Gunnery"

Skill Names: Gunnery King: 15 points
Gunnery Master: 10 points

Effect: 'Gunnery King' makes Ballista Shots, Cannon Shots, Gunlance Shots, Gunlance Wyvern-Blast, and Crag Shots stronger by x1.1
'Gunnery Master' makes Ballista Shots and Cannon Shots stronger by x1.1

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: For quests that have cannons and ballista (Quests in the Town, Fortress, Castle, etc.) this skill can increase the damage
you do with those weapons by quite a bit and will add up; having Gunnery King will help you siege though large monsters using a gunlance
or bowgun, as well as ballistas and cannons!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Map"

Skill Names: Farsight: 10 points
Map Unavailable:-10 points

Effect: 'Farsight' allows you to have the map up on your screen without having a map in your inventory
'Map Unavailable' makes it so you can never have a map on your screen, even if one is in your inventory

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Not that useful of a skill, you are supplied a map at the begining of all offline and low-rank quests
In G Rank quests you are not given a map, but in most cases you won't need one if you know the place well enough
Alternativly, you can simply have a map printed out or up on your computer to use

------------------------------------------------------------------------

* "Psychic Vision"

Skill Names: Autotracker: 15 points
Detect: 10 points

Effect: 'Autotracker' will show you on the map where all monsters are, as if you had them paintballed the whole time
'Detect' shows more infromation about the monsters - it will show the outline of the monster instead of just a blob
so you can see the difference between a wyvern and a bulldrome, also turns blue when monster is resting and red when
threatened; only raptor-boss monsters still how as blobs

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Autotracker is good for hunters who don't know the spawn locations of monsters at the start of the quest, but otherwise
it's not that hard to use a paintball on a monster so you are better off with a skill that will work toward your survival than
convience. Detect can show useful infromation like if the monster is resting, about to fly away, and in 2G your Felyne
can learn a skill that will tell you if the monster is weak enough to capture

-------------------------------------------------------------------

* "All Res Up" - "Fire Res" - "Water Res" - "Thunder Res" - "Ice Res" - "Dragon Res"

Skill Names: All Res Up: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points
Fire Res: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points
Water Res: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points
Thunder Res: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points
Ice Res: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points
Dragon Res: 20,15,10,-10,-15,-20 points

Effect: For each skill, 20 points increases that resistance by +10
15 points increases that resistance by +5
10 points increases that resistance by +3

-10 points decreases that resistance by -3
-15 points decreases that resistance by -5
-20 points decreases that resistance by -10
(Example: Fire Res Skill at 15 points = +5 Fire Resistance)

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Especially useful for gunners, you can increase your elemental resistance even further for added protection

---------------------------------------------------------------

* "Paralysis Resistance"

Skill Names: Stun [Negated]: 15 points
Stun Dur Half: 10 points
Stun Dur [x2]: -10 points

Effect: 'Stun [Negated]' makes you completely immune to being paralyzed
'Stun Dur Half' reduces the time of being paralyzed by half
'Stun Dur [x2]' doubles the length of being paralyzed

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Fighting monsters that constantly use stun, or hunting in a location where monsters with paralyze live (example: desert and genprey)
this skill can come in handy in saving your life; if you have Stun Dur [x2] it's best you fix it, being paralyzed leaves you open for attack
and staying that way even longer almost promises you'll get hit - especailly since your hunting group can't kick you back up, however
a nice hammer strike could free you

-------------------------------------------------------------

* "Sleep Resistance"

Skill Names: Sleep [Negated]: 15 points
Sleep Dur Half: 10 points
Sleep Dur [x2]: -10 points

Effect: 'Sleep [Negated]' makes you completely immune to sleep
'Sleep Dur Half' reduces the time of being asleep by half
'Sleep Dur [x2]' doubles the length of staying asleep

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Fighting a monster that has sleep effects (example: Gravios) you can often run into these attacks and leave yourself
open for attack, this isn't as dangerous as paralysis since your hunting group can kick you back awake

----------------------------------------------------------

* "Poison Resistance"

Skill Names: Poison [Negated]: 15 points
Poison Dur Half: 10 points
Poison Dur [x2]: -10 points

Effect: 'Poison [Negated]' makes you completely immune to poison
'Poison Dur Half' reduces the time of being poisoned by half
'Poison Dur [x2]' doubles the length of poison remaining

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Fighting a monster that has poisonous attacks, which is many monsters, this skill can become of great use
Many times hunters have fallen unconcious from just barely surviving an attack, but the poison that came with it finished them off
before they could use an antidote... However in most cases poison isn't all that dangerous since it slowly drains health
and all it takes is one antidote or herbal medicine to get rid of it

-----------------------------------------------------------------

* "Faint"

Skill Names: Faint [Negated]: 15 points
Faint Prob Halved: 10 points
Faint Dur [x2]: -10 points

Effect: 'Faint [Negated]' makes you immune to becoming faint
'Faint Dur Half' reduces the time of remaining faint
'Faint Dur [x2]' doubles the strength of remaining faint

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: "Faint" is when you take too much damage in a short peroid of time and have stars hover above your head,
you can move the analog stick around quickly to shake it off faster but sometimes it won't be fast enough to avoid
getting hit again, with practice you can learn to shake off faint very quickly but this skill can be useful in
avoiding it or reduce the effects if you find it to be your downfall

---------------------------------------------------------------

* "Antiseptic"

Skill Name: Antiseptic: 10 points

Effect: 'Antiseptic' makes you immune to the effects of the Congalala's "fart attack" known as Territoral Dung

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: The Congalala's Territoral Dung attack prevents you from using healing items, which can be deadly
Using Deodarant can save you from this effect (and works on those standing near you) so as long as you come
prepared there isn't much to worry about, the smaller Congas also have this attack

----------------------------------------------------------

* "Quake Resistance"

SKill Name: Quake Resistance: 10 points

Effect: 'Quake Resistance' prevents you from staggering and shaking when near strong impacts

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Strong impacts include things like being near Shen Gaoren's feet when it walks, or when Rajang pounds itself to the ground,
or standing on top of Lao-Shan's back; this skill is greatly useful when fighting monsters that use this since it can leave you open
to an attack or make you miss your chance to attack

------------------------------------------------------

* "Snow Resistance"

Skill Name: Snow Resistance: 10 points

Effect: 'Snow Resistance' prevents you from being "snowballed" by icy attacks in a cold enviroment (example: Blangonga's ice breath in the mountians)

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Being snow-balled isn't any good, you can only move at a jogging pace and you can't use any items except "Thawing Agent" which will free
you from your icy bonds; being kicked by an ally or otherwise hit can also free you, and eventually over time it melts away too
This can be dangerous if you are near death and cannot use healing or leave the area in time, useful against Daora and Blangonga in the mountians

--------------------------------------------------------

* "Terrain"

Skill Names: TerrainDmgRd[Hi]: 15 points
TerrainDmgRd[Lo]: 10 points
TerrainDmgInc[Lo]: -10 points

Effect: 'TerrainDmgRd[Hi]' reduces the damage casued by standing close to lava and Teostra/Lunastra's fire aura greatly
'TerrainDmgRd[Lo]' reduces the damage casued by standing close to lava and Teostra/Lunastra's fire aura slightly
'TerrainDmgInc[Lo]' increases the damage caused by standing close to lava and Teostra/Lunastra's fire aura slightly

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Very useful when fighting Teostra or Lunastra, this skill will reduce the damage you take by their fire auras, you can destory
their fire aura by breaking their head with a weapon of dragon-element; immunizers can also help recover lost health from their aura
Having 'TerrainDmgInc[Lo]' will increase the amount of damage you take from their auras, and should be removed when fighting Teostra
or Lunastra since the damage will add up very quickly

---------------------------------------------------------

* "Fatigue'

Skill Names: Fatigue Cancellat: 15 points
Fatigue Reduction: 10 points

Effect: 'Fatigue Cancellat' grants immunity to the effects of fatigue given by the Chameleos
'Fatigue Reduction' reduces the length of fatigue by half

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: When fighting the Chameleos, he sometimes performs a gas attack that lowers your stamina to the point you cannot run, dodge
or guard; you also cannot use items. Drinking an Energy Drink can cure you of this, but this skill can prevent it all together or atleast
reduce the effects if you find fatigue to be more than an annoyance to you

---------------------------------------------------

* "Wide Area"

Skill Names: Wide Area +2: 20 points
Wide Area +1: 10 points

Effect: 'Wide Area +2' spreads to effects of herbs, potions, antidotes, powerseeds, and armorseeds to all hunters in the area
'Wide Area +1' spreads the effects of herbs, potions, antidotes, powerseeds, and armorseeds to all hunters in the area by 50%

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Cooperative skill, great if you are playing a support role in a hunting group and are better than using flute items

Notes: "Natural Recovery" is that red bar in your health gauge left over when you are hit, this skill will increase the speed

Effect: 'Bullet Limit' always creates maximum amount of ammo when combining

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

* "Torso Increase"

Skill Name: Torso Inc: N/A

Effect: 'Torso Inc' doubles the skill points on your torso armor piece

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: The few armor pieces that can give this make good subsitutes if you don't have the full set of armor for the skill you want,

'Taunt' makes monsters target you more often

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: 'Stealth' skill is pointless to have if you are playing solo, since you are the only target, online though it makes the monster
go after everyone more often than you - 'Taunt' isn't that bad in having if you are good at soloing monsters, just don't get yourself
in a bad position to where you can't escape

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Luck Boosts are always great, they give you more rewards at the end of the quest and who doesn't want that - however
having a penalty in luck can be annoying and frustating trying to get something rare you are looking for...

-------------------------------

* "Evade"

'Worry' decreases your Attack -30% when your health is under 40%

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: Most useful for gunners, since gunner armors have such low defense one hit will practically bring them down under 40%
in which case will increase their Attack (assuming you have +2) - gunners shouldn't get hit so just stay safe and have this
great boost in power

----------------------------------------------

* "Everlasting"

Skill Names: Item Usage Improv: 10 points
Item Usage Declin: -10 points

Effect: 'Item Usage Improv' makes the effects of items last 50% longer (Example: Hot Drinks, Immunizers, Demondrugs)
'Item Usage Declin' makes the effects of item last 40% shorter (Example: Hot Drinks, Immunizers, Demondrugs)

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: With things like Hot Drinks lasting longer, you won't need to stop as often to re-use another one giving you more
oppurtunities to attack; if you have 'Item Usage Declin' then you will find yourself using up more items than you used to

------------------------------------------

* "Stamina"

Skill Names: Runner: 10 points
Flatfooted: -10 points

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: 'Quick Eating' can be very useful for monsters that are agile, finding time to heal and use items hunting agile and quick
monsters can be a hassle, if you have 'Slow Life' then finding enough time to use items can be annoying and frustrating

----------------------------------

* "BBQ"

Skill Name: BBQ Celebrity: 10 points

Effect: 'BBQ Celebrity' allows you to cook raw meats easier on a BBQ spit

Blademaster Armors: -

Gunner Armors: -

Gems: -

Notes: not that great of a skill, with practice you can cook meats without the skill just fine, plus at higher levels you can
simply give meats to your Felynes in your kitchen to cook for a small fee

-------------------------------------

* "Horn"

Skill Name: Flute Expert: 10 points

Effect: 'Flute Expert' decreases the chance of Flute items breaking upon use

Blademaster Armors: -

as often during the hunt

Necrus - looks great Smile

Haven't had time to read much, but just a quick note that Attack Up is 10x class modifier for small, 15x for Med and 20x for Large.

So a LBG/HBG with AULarge is +24 raw.
